Special Council Meeting - Jan 12th
The purpose of today’s meeting was largely to deal with education of council & some members of staff. While technically could have occurred in closed session in accordance with Section 239 (3.1) it was decided to be held in open for the benefit of all the community. The main topic was regulatory requirements as it relates to safe drinking water. In the aftermath of the Walkerton tragedy of 2000, there were some very serious and stringent regulations brought in to ensure that something of that nature doesn’t happen again.
Ward 3 Specific links on annual reports in accordance with Safe Drinking Water Act 2002 Regulation 170. A new report will be published and presented to council in approximately 6 weeks,
